Jim Reed is a graduate of Columbia Law School with a 27 year litigation and appellate career. Like Ernie Baird, Reed is politically active, having served as national staff on two presidential campaigns and as a recount observer and field attorney during the 2000 Florida Presidential Recount. Reed was named one of nine “Amazing Arizonans” for 2015 by Arizona Republic for his trial court win against the U.S. Department of Justice on behalf of ATF undercover agent Jay Dobyns, and was featured in USA Today for his trial court victory.

Arizona Republic profiles reporter Richard Ruelas featured an article on Jim Reed in the Arizona Republic. The article focuses on Jim’s work in the Federal Court of Claims on behalf of retired ATF Agent Jay Dobyns entitled “Jay Dobyns v. United States“. The lawsuit went seven years, resulting in a plaintiff’s verdict and the denial of the Justice Department’s counterclaims for royalties for Mr. Dobyns bestseller “No Angel: My Harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels.”
